Umuligt? Måske - måske ikke

Jeg har altid haft det sådan at intet er umuligt - eller dvs. noget er umuligt men tit når man hører at noget er umuligt er det bare fordi det er svært at lave. Jon "Maddog" Hall har i et interview sagt følgende da han blev spurgt hvorfor han valgte mad dog (som jeg kun kan give ham ret i):
Q: What turns you into a "mad dog", in other words, what gets you angry?
A: People saying, "It can't be done."

Sure, some things "can't be done", but others are just "difficult". Too many times I have shown that "can't be done" stuff could be done in a quarter of a day. Imagine how fast it could have been done if it was just "hard"?

The word "just" normally sets me off as well, when it is applied to a person, as in "I am just a user, or I am just a teacher." Every human is unique, they are not "just" anything.

Jeg tror på at der er mange ting som er svære at løse, men ligefrem umulige - se bare på garbage collection i Java (det sagde man også var umuligt).
